Gameplay Concept: Art Gallery

Prototype of a futuristic virtual art gallery and marketplace. Part of a cancelled online project, aimed at creating a new platform for digital art exhibitions, expos and showcases, accessible worldwide. The main goal was to create a flexible virtual set for various artists to display, promote and sell their work.

Conceptually, the art gallery consists of several floating islands, connected with anti-gravity staircases. The island arrangement can be quickly and freely reconfigured/repositioned for different events. The idea came to me, when I was re-watching the movie "Avatar", and thought combining the floating islands with futuristic style would be perfect for the project.

Taking inspiration from some of the interiors of "Cyberpunk 2077" excluding the dirt and grime, I created this prototype scene. Unfortunately, due to the project's cancellation, the exhibits themselves are assembled from marketplace assets, which were meant to be replaced by actual works of art. However, there is a considerable number of unique models and effects to be seen, as well as the atmosphere and ambiance to be enjoyed ;)
